About Me:
Hello! I'm Sam Russell
I'm currently a 3rd year student studying at Falmouth University, on the BA Games Develepment: Design course and I have spent the last 5+ years developing games starting in college.
I have strived to be a multi-skilled designer, working both outside and inside of games engines. From game design documents and pitches to full game prototypes, I've been a part of individual and collaborative projects, working on 2D and 3D games in a variety of roles, which are situated both within and outside of my specialism. If you want to know more about my skills specifically, read my Resume
I have loved games for as long as i can remember, growing up with my parents PS1 and PS2, with my Mum teaching me how to play the first Jak And Daxter before I was even in school, which developed into a passion for games development later down the line.
These days my favourite game genre is probably Rogue-Likes, as I have put far too many hours into games like The Binding Of Isaac, Hades and countless others, But my favourtie game of all time is the RPG Planescape Torment as I feel like its complex narrative and choices are unmatched to this day.
Outside of games, I also have a passion for cooking, Far too big of a Lego collection and a love of motorsport that overlaps into video games with VR and sim racing.
